Quality Improvement

This session includes discussions about the quality principles that successful organizations are putting into practise.  Millennium 3 Inc. is a member of the American Society of Quality Control (ASQC), and the keynote speaker and facilitator for the Manitoba Quality Network (QNET).  These principles are:

 

THE QUALITY CRITERIA FITNESS EVALUATION

In addition to the quality principles, we conduct a session on the how businesses can incorporate the quality principles by first reviewing their effectiveness in particular areas.  The evaluation is a fitness test conducted jointly with the use of the consultant and a team from the organization. The process includes the fitness evaluation of the following quality criteria.

A session has been developed that reviews the essential criteria of a quality organization.  Individual courses have been developed for each criteria that goes into extensive detail on the development, use and implementation of the principle. The following criteria subject areas are presented in short sessions.

  • Leadership >>
    This session focuses on those who have the primary responsibility and accountability for the organization’s performance, usually referred to as senior management.   <<
  • Customer Focus >>
    This session examines the organization’s focus on customer driven innovation and achieving customer satisfaction. <<
  • Planning for improvement >>
    This session examines the improvement planning process, the linkage of improvement planning to strategic direction, and the measurements established to assess progress.  <<
  • People Focus >>
     This session examines the development of human resource planning and implementation, and operation of a strategy for achievement of excellence through people.  It also examines the organization’s efforts to foster and support an environment that encourages and enables people to reach their full potential. <<
  • Process Optimization >>
    This session examines how work is organized to support the organization’s strategic direction, and how processes, particularly those that are critical for success, are analyzed to ensure they add value to customers and to the organization.  Process improvement priorities are derived from goals established within improvement plan.  <<
  • Supplier Focus>>
     This session examines the organization’s external relationships and other organizations, institutions and/or alliances, that are critical for it to meet strategic objectives.<<
